Margaret C. Andrews

Margaret Andrews is the founder of Mind and Hand Associates and brings over twenty years of professional experience - both in the business world and in higher education - to the firm. She has held a variety of senior management positions and conducted strategy and marketing projects in a number of industries including higher education, professional services, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, and financial services.

Until 2006, Margaret was Executive Director at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where she managed the MBA program, Admissions, Student Affairs, Career Development, Marketing, Alumni Relations, and the MIT Sloan Management Review. She has also been the Managing Vice President for Strategy and Marketing at Eduventures and Vice President of Marketing at Putnam Investments, as well as a consultant at Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman) and a CPA at Deloitte & Touche. 

Margaret has done higher education work across the globe. She is frequently quoted on developments in the higher education market, and has been interviewed in the national and international media, including CNN, MSNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, The Boston Globe, Nikkei Business, The Financial Times, and The Times of India. She has also been a guest columnist for The Economic Times Online (part of the Times of India) and presented at the Graduate Management Admission Council industry conference, The American Marketing Association's Symposium on The Marketing of Higher Education, and The Future of Higher Education conference. Margaret is on the Board of Directors for Bottom Line, a nonprofit organization that works with disadvantaged youth to get them into and graduated from college. 

Margaret has an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley and is a graduate of the MIT Sloan MBA Program where she was named a Seley Scholar, the school's highest honor.
